Woah! How fast this year has flown!! 
We are now in prep mode for testing. We will spend the majority of our month on fractions and area/perimeter in math. Reading will be reviewing texts and answering questions about them. 
Please be on the lookout for information pertaining to a parent training on testing and dates. This is going to be a very busy month!! 
Welcome back and welcome to March!!!! March is always an exciting month for me because of March Madness and the Maple Syrup Festival. On the flip side of that it means that testing time is right around the corner. We will be in hyper focus mode for the next two months. Be on the look out for a parent training coming up in April for third grade parents! As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please let me know! :) 
Other important dates include: 
13th - Picture Day 
21st - Student-Led Conferences (report cards will come home) 


Wow....what a crazy January we have had. I was beginning to think that we would never make it back!! We are currently attempting to get back into routine. The second half of the year is always intense because testing prep starts along with new groups in reading, math, and spelling. Please know that teachers, groups, homework, etc. will be different now. If you ever have any questions or concerns about this, please let me know! 
January is event free with the exception of a 12:30 Dismissal on the 31st! 
Looking ahead, Chinese New Year is in February and my class always spends a week learning and celebrating. Be on the lookout for information pertaining to this! 


We have a very busy time coming up. December means middle of the year testing, career day, concert, santa, and lots of Christmas activities! Please be on the lookout for several papers, announcements, and emails coming home about various activities. Below are some upcoming dates: 
8th - Career Day 10:30 
11th - PTO 
12th - I am out this day 
13th - 12:30 Dismissal 
15th - I am out this day 
21st - Christmas Party (more details coming later) 
22nd - 12:30 Dismissal 
25th- Christmas Break Starts! 

Happy November!! It's going to be a short month and we have a lot going on in our classroom! Hopefully you've heard about our ongoing animal research project and our geography lessons. We've made lots of progress in math learning about multiplication and division!

9th: House Recognition 
13th: Veteran's Lunch and PTO @4:00 
16th: Author Night 5-7 (you should have signed up for this already)

Welcome to September ...just wanted to let you know that this month means that spelling tests, reading groups, and math groups will be starting. 
Be on the lookout for more homework, notes and papers that will be coming home. 
Also, BOY testing information will be coming as well!! 


Wow- we have a had a great start to the year!!! We are still doing lots of practice on procedures and beginning of the year testing. Homework, spelling tests, etc. will all begin in September. Please make sure to check folders each night and return! Thanks!!
